An inclusive life-skills resource center to promote and protect the human rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


What is the Building for Change?
Building for Change is The Arc Pikes Peak Region’s newly renovated, inclusive personal development center to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located at 10 & 12 N. Meade Ave. in Colorado Springs, CO, the Building for Change Personal Development Center includes a life skills room with a teaching kitchen (complete with height-adjustable oven ranges), a computer lab, a multipurpose room, a disability resources library, and a conference room. These spaces are open for use to the disability community, as well as the community at large. This campus will increase capacity for The Arc Pikes Peak Region to support, advocate, educate and enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As you take the self-guided tour, click on the computer screens in each room to hear real-life stories from those who are positively impacted by Building for Change.
