70 Years โ€“ 7 Areas of Impact: 18+ Events

The Arc Pikes Peak Region offers a dynamic array of 18+ programs designed to foster community, independence, and personal growth for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These inclusive, engaging events promote social connection, skill-building, and fun in a supportive environment.

๐ŸŽ‰ Social & Recreational Programs Sisterhood of Empowered Women

This monthly group brings together women 18+ with IDD for themed activities that encourage friendship, creativity, and confidence. Past events have included crafts, games, and seasonal celebrations. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 3:00โ€“5:00 PM.

Guysโ€™ Night Out

Open to men 18+ with IDD, this group meets monthly for fun outings such as bowling, sports games, and arcade nights. Itโ€™s a great opportunity to build camaraderie and enjoy shared interests.

Karaoke Night

A high-energy event where adults with varying abilities can sing, dance, and celebrate music together. Held at The Pinery North, the evening includes light refreshments and a welcoming space for performers and spectators alike.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Life Skills & Wellness Adult Cooking & Nutrition Classes

These free classes empower adults with disabilities and their loved ones to learn about healthy eating and basic cooking techniques. Held at 12 N Meade Ave, each session runs from 4:30โ€“7:00 PM on select Mondays throughout the year. Participants prepare simple, nutritious meals in a hands-on, supportive setting.
