Join The Arc Pikes Peak Region for our next Empower U meeting on Thursday, November 12th!
Empower U is a self-advocacy group for teens and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who want to make new friends, build leadership skills, and learn how to advocate for themselves and others.
Through engaging conversations, activities, and shared experiences, participants will have the opportunity to:
• Connect with Others: Make new friends, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships with peers.
• Build Self-Advocacy Skills: Learn how to speak up for your needs, express your goals, and understand your rights.
• Promote Awareness: Explore issues that impact people with disabilities and discover ways to make a positive difference in your community.
Whether you're new to self-advocacy or already passionate about making a difference, Empower U is a welcoming space to learn, grow, and have fun!
